Steamboat, CO Attorneys - The Law Office of Ralph A. Cantafio P.C.

Ralph A. Cantafio, Esq.Ralph A. Cantafio, Esq.

I was raised in Devon, Pennsylvania, relocating to San Diego with my family when I was 16. After graduating from La Jolla High School, I earned my Bachelor’s Degree at the University of Nevada at Las Vegas. While attending the University of Colorado School of Law, I was fortunate to clerk in Steamboat Springs. I was even more fortunate to be offered a job as an Associate there and never left.

My wife, Denise, and I raised our two daughters in Steamboat. I am the Municipal Judge in Oak Creek, on the Board of Directors at the Old Town Hot Springs, and attend the Episcopal Church. Denise and I enjoy travel, our daughters and grandchildren as well as the many friendships that we have built over the years.

And, by the way, I love art. I hope you enjoy the photos on this website of the original paintings by Ferjo, Ford Smith, Leni-Dael and Sergey Cherepakhin displayed in our offices.

Our Attorneys take a 60 seconds to touch on some important issues to consider

Ralph A. Cantafio, Esq. "What do I do when a landman calls?"

Remember, the landman works for the producer and is not there to help the land owner. The landman is there to negotiate the best deal possible for the company - not you. Because an oil and gas lease creates a dominant easement, your use of the surface becomes secondary to the development of the oil and gas interest. The best thing to do is call an experienced oil and gas attorney to help you understand all of your legal rights.
