I was raised in Devon, Pennsylvania, relocating to San Diego with my family when I was
16. After graduating from La Jolla High School, I earned my Bachelor’s Degree at the
University of Nevada at Las Vegas. While attending the University of Colorado School
of Law, I was fortunate to clerk in Steamboat Springs. I was even more fortunate to be
offered a job as an Associate there and never left.
My wife, Denise, and I raised our two daughters in Steamboat. I am the Municipal Judge
in Oak Creek, on the Board of Directors at the Old Town Hot Springs, and attend the
Episcopal Church. Denise and I enjoy travel, our daughters and grandchildren as well as
the many friendships that we have built over the years.
And, by the way, I love art. I hope you enjoy the photos on this website of the original
paintings by Ferjo, Ford Smith, Leni-Dael and Sergey Cherepakhin displayed in our offices.

"How do I form a corporation?"
The document that begins the process of forming a corporation is the Articles of Incorporation. Upon approval by the Secretary of State, your corporation will be recognized as a legal entity. However, your work is not done. You will need to draft bylaws and have them adopted by the corporation, issue shares, secure a tax identification number from the IRS, and consider whether you should choose a sub-Chapter S election.
