I first moved to Steamboat in 1995 following my first year in college. For the next three years, I enjoyed Steamboat, the community, and local activities before returning to school and graduating from the University of Kansas with a Bachelor's degree in economics and enrolling in law school at the University of Denver. During three years in law school, I was an active member of the Denver University Law Review and excelled at legal writing and trial practice.
Following graduation from DU Law School, I returned to Steamboat where I was employed as a Deputy District Attorney in Craig and Steamboat Springs. During my time at the D.A.'s office, I was responsible for prosecuting every misdemeanor, DUI and traffic case in Routt County while gaining valuable trial experience in all types of cases. In 2007, I moved into private practice at the Law Office of Ralph A. Cantafio, P.C., where I specialize in criminal/DUI defense, divorce and family law.
I live in Steamboat with my two dogs, Ajax and Belle, and continue to enjoy all the Yampa Valley has to offer.

In these cases, it is important to contact a real estate attorney BEFORE you purchase. Early intervention is critical. For example, if there is a problem with the title and you call an attorney three days before a scheduled closing, it may be too late for the attorney to help you.
