Christine E. Breen

Christine E. Breen

Denver, Colorado

Christine E. Breen grew up in an oil and gas family in the heart of the industry in Houston, TX. As a descendent of original Colorado pioneers, Christine moved to Colorado in 2011 after obtaining her Masters in Environmental Law and Policy and J.D. from Vermont Law School.

Christine joined Cantafio Hammond in May 2013. Christine's practice focuses on oil and gas law, as well as commercial and civil litigation. Christine's also practices employment law, such as Title VII Discrimination, disability discrimination, and FMLA, and she is well skilled in alternative dispute resolution. No matter the issues, Christine is a strong advocate and dedicates herself to your case.

Christine also believes in establishing preventative measures to help avoid employment issues as a business moves forward. Christine works with employers to help them understand their rights, the rights of the employee, and how to work towards a respectful equilibrium between the two.

Additionally, Christine actively advocates for women's and LGBTQ rights. She represents women, veterans, and members of the LGBTQ community in matters regarding discrimination, harassment, and protection of their civil rights.  Outside the office, Christine advocates for women's rights policy. As part of her advocacy, she testified for House Bill 1294 at both the Colorado House and Senate, supporting a mandate that insurance companies cover all forms of birth control, and prevent insurance companies from only covering a select few.

Christine values giving back to her Denver and Colorado communities. Christine volunteers as an attorney with Colorado Lawyers for Colorado Veterans; a free clinic serving Colorado's veterans. She has also helped Colorado flood victims by providing pro-bono and means based legal representation.

Christine enjoys taking advantage of the great natural resources this great state provides such as rock climbing, skiing, and hiking, as well as playing with her dog Sasha. She also enjoys stand-up comedy and listening to live music.
